Many of you will know that the comfort touring seat is prone to leaking where the 2 seams meet and retaining water. When you get on the bike, your inner thighs get wet for days on end. Not good. I have solved the issue. If you have one of these and can't get it replaced by Ducati as you don't have a receipt like me here's what you do. Remove the cover by taking out all the staples. Use sanitary silicon in black. Lift up the seams and squirt the silicon in where the 2 materials meet and press down, squeezing the excess out. Now use a plastic spreader and after laying a bead of silicon along the top of the seam, spread it along the seam and feather it into the material either side. Give it 48 hrs to dry. Take it to a local upholsterer and ask them to refit or if like me you have a local bike seat specialist ask him to do it. The guy that did it for me also added a polythene lining between the seat and the cover. Total cost including having the seat refitted and materials? £23.99! Result. This is the guy that did mine. I've used him before and his work is top drawer. http://www.diggerseats.co.uk/Home.html
