Leather Repairs & Refresh?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by THJ, Jun 7, 2014.

  1. Hi, any idea if it is possible to get these looking new again? (They are not mine, but would go well with the Bostrom rep if they could be restored at a reasonable price)

And if yes... Any recommendations and approximate cost?

  2. Get some beeswax, the sort they sell you at bike shows, to waterproof your boots. Hides a multitude of sins.
Can't do much about the stitching though.

  3. Leathers look better with a worn look, as opposed to the just out of the showroom poseur look. ive them a clean with some soapy water and treat them a a little beeswax

  4. I think you'll just have to put that down as battle scars.
I have had crashed leathers dealt with by Dainese in the past, but they just replace the scuffed panels. There's not a lot else you can do.
It's not necessarily a bad look, but make sure you have some worn sliders with them or you just look like an arse!

  5. Shoe polish. :upyeah:

  6. Scrubber Leathers. Used them before. Excellent service.

  7. Try ninelivesleathers. But beware Chris is a very busy man, especially during race season.

  8. Used nine lives to adjust a 2 and 1 piece now and have to say he does do a very good job. Really nice guy too, although like you say he does get very busy (which is generally a very good recomendation on it's own).

  9. get some Saddle Soap from a horsey type place - works wonders and conditions the leather too and is only few quid for a big ol tub
