Think i'm going to treat the 848 to some ASV leavers, cant decide on standard length or shorty's, interested in what you guys are running and why? Cheers
Had shorties on my 1098 (no quickshift). Braking was nice with a short lever, the clutch was horrible. May be different now with all the electronics doing the clutch work. I use ‘long’ after-market levers now. Can use all four fingers on them but they are shorter than the OEM levers.
I have an 848 so no electronics on the clutch, would think the shorty will be hard work then. I have actually seen a bike with a shorty for the brake and standard for the clutch
I'm not sure I'd fancy operating a clutch with short lever, even with an Oberon cylinder. Equally I wouldn't want to use a front brake with just two fingers either, I've never taken to that as an idea even on push bikes, it feels 'wrong' to me. Still, to each their own!
Hate short LEVERS, standard ones every time. Long journeys in particular I get aching hands. More feel on front brake too...
Shorties are for people whos grip has been strengthened by protracted masturbation to Justin Beiber video's. There, I said it. Ner.
Can we add short levers to "the list" then? Rim tape Clear Clutch Dark screen Anodised bolts Short Levers
On occasion I’ve grabbed my brake lever too far left therefore losing leverage. I know, I know- bad mistake…. Based on the mild panic (stick or twist) do I release and squeeze where I’m supposed to or do I just continue squeezing as hard as I can and hope I make it… Never binned it but levers are a standard length for good reason
