Hi Guys, I’ve got 1199/1299 led indicators on the tail tidy of my 899, just noticed after washing it that the near side indicator is not working? I thought led’s were supposed to last longer than normal 12v bulbs? Anyone else had one go? Where can I get just one from? Part number on the indicator lead is 53010282A anyone got any spares kicking about? Cheers, Poucher
Nope, done all that, took the indicator off and swapped for the RHS one and that works ok, so I think it’s definitely the LHS indicator that’s jiggered. Washing the bike didn’t cause any problems, that was just when I noticed it wasn’t working, no water in the connector at all as they are tucked away in the seat unit. Just a bit disappointing as I thought these things lasted longer?
Indeed. I’m finding domestic LEDs don’t necessarily last all that long either but maybe you were just unlucky and the replacement will be fine...
