They're looking back at Rossi's racing career today on BTsport3 at 1.00pm, if your out floating don't worry as they'll repeat it a millions times.
As it's BT Sport 3 I'm kinda thinking they will whitewash over the issue of Rossi's having his own special tyres flown in on Sunday morning.
There have been a lot of new motor racing documentaries recently (Marc Marquez, Didier vs Pironi) but this was just a repeat of the 2021 programme done when VR retired presented by Suzi Perry. The media loved/needed VR and so they just listed all his world championships, they make it clear that the wins suddenly stop after 2009 but no explanation or mention of the new rules in 2010 meaning everyone had to use the same tyres.
Oh so i've seen it then,.....but just for the record he'd have won it in 2015 if he wasn't interfered with by number 93.
I think you're referring to the "Sepang Clash". Rossi was found to be at fault and received a grid penalty. Both Carl Fogarty and Casey Stoner said any rider other than Rossi would have been immediately disqualified. Marquez talked about it in his documentary. Rossi didn't mention it at all
Yeah Spanish TV promoters and rider says it all for me, it's simple if MM didn't do what he did in that race then they wouldn't have clashed............Marquez's fault 100%, case closed.
Isn’t it the FIM that decide the penalty not the rights owner or are you accusing Dorna of leaning on the FIM? I’ve seen this accusation before and I’m not saying that MM was right in his interference of Rossi, however to wilfully knock a rider off the track or bike should have a penalty. Rossi would have understood this as the race unfolded but still took a decision to off MM. It is what appears to be a substantial amount of people want for MM after Portimao and his non deliberate act. I’m a neutral between those 2 riders both are greats of the Blue Ribbon class and have no bias.
Rossi has a long history of knocking riders off, ask Sete or Casey, it can be a contact sport, fairing bashing is fine if it's fair, it's not bumper car racing....
Again your missing the point what unfolded that day, MM should have been black flagged before we got to that situation in my opinion.
I’m not missing the point as you didn’t suggest a Black flag as a punishment in your post, I can’t miss something that wasn’t posted. Your accusation was against Dorna and that they favoured Spanish riders not that Black flags should have been used to prevent the incident from occurring.
I'm not addING anymore to this now as it was eight seasons ago, he should have been sighted for unsportsmanlike conduct, it's left a huge black mark against his reputation in my opinion.
Ah good old MM93, admittedly an ethereal talent but by far the biggest prick the MGP paddock has ever seen. Will never win another championship... unless he semi retires to WSB
Who is the king of COTA? Where is the next race? A sprint win and a race win and then how does the championship look? Just saying.
Or if he moves to a Ducati team where he isn’t having to ride the balls off the bike to keep it competitive
How confident are you? I'll do you fifty quid he doesn't win either, loser pays that to the others nominated charity?
