Hi, just thought I'd post a couple of pictures of the Lucomagno Pass in Switzerland. This is a nice route to take if there is a lot of traffic heading north and there is a long queue for the Gotthard tunnel (which in turn means lots of traffic on the Gotthard pass). Heading north on the A2 motorway take the exit 44 for Biasca. The road connects with Disentis and from there you can head down towards Gotthard or Chur. Nice flowing roads, great scenery, and I found very little traffic along the way. Just watch out for the occasional cameras in the villages.
Looks horrible, all that space, the views, those horrible bends! You know that this is the sort of road you want to be riding on really...
The Lucomagno, or Lukmanier in French, is a really good pass. Is it the one that has the road in sort of slabs (which are a real jarring pain on a short travel suspension sports bike), or is that the Nufenen? Never can remember. One of them is worth avoiding for that reason, though probably not if you have a Multi.
Nice, think I will just miss it with the route I have planned next week. Hope to do the Ofenpass again though, superb corners especially towards the café/car park at the top if memory serves..
Highest gun ownership per head of population the Swiss. Lovely people from what I hear  Chocolates not that bad either!
think they have an excuse for the gun ownership, something like they have no regular army so everyone is in the TA with rifle at home
