Little rubber fairing thingy.

  1. Had a blast out in the 750 Duc today - great ride but noticed I've lost one of the rubbers that push on to the fairing stay down the side of the engine. Don't suppose any body has a spare they are willing to sell? What a great bike it is though, beautiful handling and plenty of power for my (poor) ability.

  2. Only one?..........Treat yourself....you will be needing them....just get the right sizes....M6 x 15 is about right.....Masonmate are just as good as Rawlpug ones.

  3. Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for. They are just a push on rubber end cap for the stays which I assume are to stop the fairing moving too much. I'll try to take a photo tomorrow but thanks for your help.

  7. The best thing you can do when you have got another rubber 'tip' (make one from a rubber hose and stick an old car tyre valve domed end into the rubber hose) is to make two 75mm diameter (approx) discs out of thin-ish stainless steel and Araldite them inside the fairing where the stays touch it.....stops cracking and wearing through the glassfibre.

  8. After you suggested that last time Al, I did something similar. It's surprising how much the rubber wears and causes a bulge on the other side of the fairing.

  9. You're welcome. Very helpful site and speak english too. Shipping is pricey though but you can find rare bits or bits that have been replaced/upgraded :upyeah:
