Little wing things...to help reduce noise.

  1. Sorry to ask, but is there a place to buy those little wing things to help reduce buffeting. I seen them on a few bikes and spoke to the riders, all say good things. Get the MK2 version etc...sadly I've searched here, but cannot find the source. And there is a lot to search through if you google screens or wind etc on this site.
it would help If I knew what they are called?

  2. Bodyform ultra wings. Google them.

I'd also be interested to hear some more opinions about how effective these are...

  5. You try to help a mate out and it's never good enough. With my suggestion you'd be able to go skiing, rock climbing, cycling, run with the dog - the world's your oyster. Bodyform for youooooouuu. Etc. maybe Red Bull ? I'm thinking of a third option using Malaysian airways but it would be bad taste.

  6. Just fitted a pair of these Eagle Screens winglets.
Took about 2 weeks to arrive. They're easy to fit (unlike the Mk 1 version I understand) and the light tint goes well (IMHO) with my DP screen. However I did find that the back edge of my screen touched the face of the winglet and when I tried to adjust the screen up or down it scratched the face of the winglet.
I removed and remounted the winglets and screen to see if they would sit differently but to no avail. I ended up just easing the back edge of the screen where it touched the surface with a fine file. Not perfect but just about worked.
Not had chance to assess how effective they are yet as I haven't done a back to back test but first impressions are that they take some of the wind blast off my shoulders. Buffeting is not (but never really was) an issue.
