Hi out there. Just checking in - living in Norway, and I have just bought another project bike to use time on in the garage (at first): A 1996 model 916S, but far from complete, andI expect it to take a long time - years - before it will hit the road again. But that doesn't matter, as I love the search for parts and the calm hours in the garage with such mechanical creations And it's going to share space with other bikes, both registered / on the road and projects. The reason for buying a 916? I just love these bikes, and have done so since they came to market. Geir
My handle was chosen as a link to my "main" sports car. I bought a Marcos 2 litre V4 project in 1997 and spent 11 years of restoring it. Part of the process was finding a suitable colour, and for some reason I ended up deciding that the Ecurie Ecosse metallic racing blue was spot on. As many will know this colour was made for the 50s/60s Scottish racing team that raced (mainly) Jaguars. Managed to find a kind lady at the Jaguar museum who agreed to send me the code so I could have it mixed locally. But other than a certain spiritual connection to the Scots from a thousand years ago, I'm purely Norwegian. However the spirit of sports cars and MCs is very much present in my blood, and with a certain link to Italy as well
