My S2R Thou, the one that cuts out when warm has now had the plugs, battery, reg/rec, two relays, CPS and alt stator, and recently the horiz cyld coil all replaced, is getting worse !! The fuel pump isn't priming. The fuses are OK and I can feel and hear the relay clicking when the ignition is turned on, but no buzz priming sound and there is no fuel getting through to the plugs. The battery has been disconnected for three months plus. Before I take the airbox off again to check all the connections, do I remember reading somewhere that strange things can happen when the bike is left without power for a long while ? You may, stress may, need to reset the immobiliser using the Red key or code card, and if my 1000SS is anything to go by, and the S2R is fitted with a Linear TPS, you may need to reset that too. Nasher.
It’s worth checking electricity is actually getting to the fuel pump and that there isn’t a break in the circuit at some point between the relay and the pump.
