Bought some replacement forks as my original 2015S DVT forks were damaged and they’re an inch longer. Bought from official Ducati dealer in Holland. Any idea why they’d be longer. Parts number all same. Everything works. They’re just an inch longer. Baffled.
Outer tube I think. Have to have more fork through the yoke which means my usb adaptor is in the way now and all cables are a bit tighter
Assume the new ones are longer as these are conflicting with my usb adaptor in the socket whereas my old ones didn’t.
Fitted and working perfectly and not interfering with my usb adaptor so all good and very happy. Better than having to “fork” out £1500 for a new set. £600 from a Dutch dealer.
Reminds me of the centre stand conundrum on my brand new 1260 Multi... This was at the first service at JHP in Coventry. I'd bought the bike at DMC Stoke who'd created a 1260s Touring from a std 1260s as they didn't have a Touring in stock in white. Turns out they'd fitted a stand from the Enduro. At the time I had a gravel drive so it worked OK... though not particularly impressive ground clearance. DMC sent me a new centre stand to fit myself as I wasn't prepared to ride up there to have it fitted. They got a fairly chamfered one back. Are you sure they're not Enduro forks?
I did think that they could be enduro forks. Doesn’t seem to have had a negative impact thank goodness. The electronics are all working and there’s a really noticeable change in the suspension settings
