The challenge is on Robin, how're you going to get that title back?! lol Impressive... "I am off to eastern Germany/Poland/Czech Republic in about 30 minutes (850 miles in one go through the night by Multistrada 1200....nothing else will do it" Motorcycle Info Pages - Misc MTS1200 Articles > 5 Days, 1956 Miles Sorry but.....more impressive! :-O "There can't be many other bikes you'd travel more than a 1000 miles on and then do a trackday event.....in the space of less than 24 hours!!" Motorcycle Info Pages - MTS1200 Reviews & Articles > 1003 Mile Trackday I have to admire you guys.......but I'm not that sorry not to be a leather arsed biker lol
I did Misano to Manchester on a 1098 in one hit - 23 Hours - 1165 Miles.... wouldn't want to do it again though in that time frame!!
I bet you remember the aches and pains only too well! lol Best (?) I ever managed was a day trip to Cumbria, 650 mile round trip on an SV1000..........thing is apart from the hurt of too many hours in the saddle I find munching big miles as quick as possible bloody boring (M/way, major trunk roads etc;-)
Last year I did 700 miles on SS from London to just past Magdeburgh in Germany on my way to Poland. Would have done more but run out of time as despite doing constant 100mph or more it still took 11h!!
I can beat that, the last 6 weeks sat on the sofa and a dining chair having covered about 3 miles tops and with a butt of pure iron
My best on Mutley is 1032 miles in 18 hours including crossing the channel coming back from French/Spannish border. The ride through the night was ffff freezing.........could have saved time if I'd had my heated jacket so didn't have to keep stopping to warm up. The bike was superb. Also done the same on a variety of other bikes, GPZ 900, VFR 750, VFR800, some horrible old BMW, 1000 Multi though only 860 miles in one hit, and about 800 miles on a 996R. Hats off to 998gsb doing more than that on a 1098, RESPECT. Worst one was 800 miles on an early Firestorm with a tank range of less than 100 miles when going for it. My mate has done 1000 miles in one go not once but twice on a Honda XR650R (single cylinder enduro bike) geared for the road, insane!!! I really rate the Mutley, seat is great but my legs get a bit cramped and could do with the footrests being a bit more rear set.

Well that's me well and truly trounced! 900 miles in 19 hours is my best so far. Do I get extra points for including that as the first leg of long trips? We did a 2015 mile six day tour of the Baltic this May. Mind you, the Multi's so comfy it doesn't seem like hard work. 23 hours on a 1098? Hats off to 998gsb. That's ironarse.
My longest has been riding Gloucester to Mansfield back to Hereford in a day I was that shattered I collapsed on floor backpack on and slept for half hour My arse hurt as did my neck and shoulders Only to do it the following week
Longest ride was @450 miles from Norfolk to Helston in Cornwall on a CX500 but using A roads not m/ways, longest on the ST so far is 150 from Oxford home ( 3 hours with a break for fag and pee) still no m/ways but dual c/ways, A roads are more fun and it's the journey that's to be enjoyed!
Got back today from Plymouth....nice start to the ride home through Dartmoor/Princeton, then all the way up the A303 to Basingstoke then m3 m25 to home near heathrow. Not sure of the distance, but it has been a long day, with stops and all, almost 11 hrs, bit knackered!
R1150GS 690 miles in Spain - no motorways though But much worse..... in 1977 Honda CD 175 about 420 miles, Glasgow to Dartford. Now that was hard work with a cruising speed of 55-60
