899 Looking For Advice What To Check On Low Miles 899

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by JRosc, May 2, 2022.

  1. Hey everyone,

Currently finalizing my choice on 899, and just looking for some advice from experts :)
I basically have two choices for similar price, private and dealer.
The private one is at fairly low mileage 10 000 km, seller says bike is in tip top condition with recent service on oil etc.
The other one is from dealer. The dealer one obviously biggest upside it gets a 12 month warranty, but the miles are at 35k KM.
Thinking what could be the best choice here.

For those interested here are ads (in Dutch):
    Private: https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/motoren/motoren-ducati/m1836987034-ducati-panigale-899-artic-white
    Dealer: https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/motore...9-panigale-bj-2014-termignoni-12-mnd-garantie

I just looked up and realized that 899 has no slipper clutch. Really strange even my comparably cheap zx6r from same year has one. Has anyone felt like this is an issue, or it's something easy to get used to?

  2. Thread moved

  3. WOW is that much 899's are going for in the Netherlands?!

  4. It’s about the same as here when you convert it from euro to sterling

  5. They're closer to £11K in Netherlands, only seen a few on UK Autotrader just below £10,500. Considering these new where around £12500 they're commanding some strong values.

Actually theres one on Autotrader, WSB replica being advertised £11490! Glad I kept mine.
