hi there. not sure "higher" is the right way of saying it, but I am quite tall (6'1) and a friend suggested i swapped the stock handlebar for a more "arched" one, for a more comfy riding position. even 1.5/2 cm should make a noticeable difference in my riding position, apparently. can anyone suggest a brand or where to find this part? also, my Monster is the ABS version: wouldn't raising the handles create problem with the wires? thank you
My partner has just swapped her 696 for a 796 although the bars on the new bike are already a little higher she is looking at risers to raise them a little more but she wants to get a few more miles on it first to make sure . I think Ducati may do a set but there are other options , just google for them. I would guess risers will be cheaper and less hassle than changing handlebars unless you want new handlebars anyway. No idea about the ABS issue though. I`ll let you know if she does go ahead and change and if it makes much difference.
I found the Rizoma risers, but cannot figure out how higher they would be than the stock position Universal Risers by Rizoma Bikes Accessories -
I had an MV Brutale that had "High" bars and I swopped them for the Monster bars which are lower. I still have the Brutale Bars,The Brutale is long gone, If they are what you are looking for you can have them real cheap
