749 Looking For Pressure Plate (slipper Clutch)

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Chris.King1, Jul 2, 2016.

  1. Does anybody know where I can, if you can, get a pressure plate for the slipper clutch? The DP one I have is looking more pink in colour than red. Ideally a black one. Plenty about for standard clutches, but can't find any for Slipper...unless I buy the whole lot!

  2. Take it to an anodizer. Only be £25 I expect. Local place would be fine. Or powder coated?

  3. I looked for one for a month or 2 with no luck, like you say theres plenty for the normal clutch, try JHP they may be able to supply you a new one but it will be at a cost, best just get it recoated

  4. Thanks for the responses, I think a recoat will be the best option. I'm just plain boring and want black with new stainless springs and silver collars.

  5. I sprayed my normal one with an aerosol, looks fine, 1/2 if it is hidden behind the cover anyway.

  6. There is a place near me who do all sorts of coatings, most probably the easiest way. I've ordered a STM cover, as the carbon one is no good in the event of an accident.
