Hi folks, I was hoping some people here would be able to offer some advice on two bikes my father is looking to sell (Hoping to sell them so we can get a track car hehe) The bikes are a 1999 916 Carl Fogarty Replica and a 2001 Monster Carl Fogarty Replica. Both bikes have around 1000 miles and are like new, he is the sole owner from new and the bikes have been stored in a heated garage since purchase. They have never really been used so they have no service history other than a full service last July from Ducati Glasgow when we originally planned to sell them. They were supplied by Alvins in Edinburgh, not sure if they are still a Ducati dealer or not. The 916 has all the part & bits that came with the bike from new (Owners plaque / cover / original exhausts etc..) He would prefer to sell them as a pair and I was wondering if any folks here might be able to offer a reasonable price guide based on experience? (I apologize if this post has been made in the wrong section, still new!) Thanks in advance
The 916 will fetch strong money. The last I heard of went thru auction circa 18k. The monster, if its what I think, is one of the bikes put together for the monster challenge race series. Not sure of value but it should be strong against a normal S4, although not as much as the 916.
I know it's no help, but just for info Alvins went bust a few years back. Maybe around 2005 or so. The only Ducati dealer in Scotland now is Ducati Glasgow, they could help you with this if you're in this neck of the woods? Andy
Setting up the bikes for some proper pictures tomorrow, have got a quick pic from my phone of the 916, they are in complete mint condition. Thanks for the help! This isn't a photo of his, but it's the same model, to give you an idea. Interesting read, I think ours is in the early #100's so no where near the value of that, I'd be impressed if anyone forked out for that however. Hi Andy, Yeah I figured they were gone, shame they were a good shop. Ducati Glasgow is who serviced the bikes last time, he is in Dundee so it's not too far a trek, but he tends to transport them rather than ride them up. Yep, the monster sounds like a challenge bike. I have two customers with them. Probably get premium S4 money? the foggy rep.........I'd also have a chat with a couple of specialist auction houses. I think you'd get good money for it.
Martin is the main man at Ducati Glasgow. I'm sure he'd be able to help. Maybe not the best way to maximise your price but it's a starter for some help I'd bet.

A Monster S4 Foggy sold on ebay last year for under £5k with a couple of thousand miles on......prices on these things will be all over the place, depends on how much someone wants one. I sold my Monster S4 last year which had full Ohlins and Termi system, all the carbon, just about every DP extra etc etc for under £4k..The Foggy Monster has never been that desirable. Think the 916 will be worth a lot more, again to the right person.
