Loom Earths

  1. Can anyone suggest a way of connecting these together? It’s all of the earths from the loom that need connecting to a new battery lead! Cheers

  3. Definitely going for deutsch :upyeah:
Do you know which one I’d need? Cheers

  4. Awesome, thanks pal :upyeah:

  5. Looks like a 999/749?.... I've done a few in the past by taking the earths in to 2 or 3 crimped eyelets (main earth into a single by itself) and then bolting through to a single lead running to the battery. You can get the old 916/996 battery terminals that have a screw terminal on which allows the battery lead to be secured to it. Shrink wrap the cable run and bolt the battery terminal up as normal. Looks tidy from the front and keeps the earth cable tucked up out of the way.

  6. Yeh, I did think about doing that but thought it was a bit ugly. I know you wouldn’t be able to see it once shrink wrapped but I’d know #ocd :joy:

  7. So, for these deutsch connectors I’d have to strip back the main battery earth lead and individually twist together 12 cables to marry up with the small earths coming off the bike?

  8. If I only ran one earth off one side of the connector wouldn’t that mean that only one earth on the other side would make a contact? Or is there a bridge inside the connector? What Guage wire would I use going upto the battery? Max for those connectors is 4mm I think. Sorry for the ignorance guys o_O

  9. 999 mate. I’ve just fitted a 2moto battery tray hence the re routing of cables!
