I have just been told that Loomies folded late last year...... Apparently even the pub (opposite side of the road) know nothing. Does anyone know if they are open / will re-open or other useful information ? !
total fabrication...well as in its still open and says Loomies on the sign...unless they have done a quick financial bit of spinning
Totally weird - I thought they were open, but my classic biker friend said they rode there in November and there were concrete bollards on the car park entrance......... Glad you have dispelled that myth!!!!!
if it was a Monday there would be. Well not concrete, I think they are steel ones to stop the pikeys parking in the carpark. But I've been going a few years and not stopped...
A272 / A32 junction, used to be a Little Chef donkeys ago, site of the most illogical tea / coffee queue vs counter queuing system known to mankind.
What's wrong with collecting your tea/coffee then having to reverse down the queue to where you started for the milk and Sugar? That system was designed by Red Fred the British Leyland union stalwart and his expertise never did BL any harm.
i nipped over there on new years day a few years ago, quietest i'd seen it! I was pretty pissed off and cold finding it closed i believe there still trading, there even on facebook
Still open - at least it was about 3 weeks ago when last we went. Like wantz1 I've been caught out before by the fact they close on New Year's Day - worth checking the website.
Definitely open, food is fairly rank in general though. Shame because it don't take much to cook good Cafe food and the place is a popular meeting point for sure. Here have a pic of my old Kwak and a loverly R1 at Loomies.
