Lorenzo's Head Mushed.........pt2

  1. What does everyone think after watching jerez...?

  2. I think he's too easily influenced by circumstance. And the Yamaha is too easily ruined by tyre choice. And he should have gone for the harder option front.

  3. He has certainly had an ego adjustment. There is a new world order and he cannot stand it. Perhaps that is what is effecting him mentally.

  4. He will be on the Honda next year.

  5. What makes you say that bootsam? His entire career has been on a Yam. I would have thought it a massive risk for him to go to Honda. Not saying your wrong though. ;)

  6. He will need to be on the same bike as MM to beat him. The Honda is the better bike. Unless Yamaha find some more performance with the M1, it would seem the logical conclusion. DP will be loosing his seat onthe factory Honda as he is a nearly man.

Mind you even if he does have the same bike as MM, i wonder if anyone could catch the fella.

  7. i can see pedders and lorenzo swapping rides. wont help lorenzo, mm is just the better rider.

  8. Will pedders even have a factory ride next year? Being consistently 2nd is great but not for a factory team. They're in it to win, and if the best he can do it be first loser then he is no good for the big boys. In my opinion, compared to the other aliens, Dani P Diddy is the little train that couldn't.

  9. Yep, I agree with that JC. Jorge is the smoother rider but that Honda needs to be ragged. Dani is smooth but he is slower. Casey ragged it and was blistering. MM rags it and is even quicker.

  10. It would be an exciting prospect but I cannot see Lorenzo and Marquez as team mates. His only option is for the factory to greatly improve the Yam but can they!? Time will tell.:)

  11. I can see Lorenzo jumping ship to HRC. But will it make a difference? Marquez can stick half a second into the rest of the field at will, sometimes more. And will the Honda suit him? Even Dani looks loose on it. Here's a question. Will Lorenzo ever get another championship? Excluding the chance of gaining one via other peoples injuries, he has Marquez now, Vinales, Rins, other Marquez? Fenati and Miller in the not too distant future. Say 3 years for them all to be in? Making Lorenzo what? 31? Unless he or Yamaha can up their game or the spec ecu and new spec tyre seriously mix up the grid in Yamahas favour or he jumps to Honda and it works, I'd say he could be in a wee spot of bother.

  12. I think any rider would come consistently second to MM at the moment....maybe Stoner in his prime? Pedrosa is obviously massively quick and I cant see a factory team turning him down as one of the best out there

  13. Maybe I can phrase it better.

Pedders has had the top level factory stuff since 2006 and he hasn't been successful at obtaining a championship. As a perfect example, MM turned up and won on it straight away. Perhaps another rider that currently rides a slower bike could out perform him.

  14. Wooooow...... Got to stop u there , I'm not sure casey stoner is slower than Marquez. I think Casey had more pace to give I genuinely do, Marquez would have been that push he needed to be even better!!

I think Lorenzo will go to Honda.

  15. I disagree Phill. Casey left because he'd started a family. I think his head realised he may need to temper his enthusiasm. Marc has no such distractions. It wouldve been a good close fight pre kid days but Casey is a family man and that has to play on your mind after Marco's tragedy. Prior to that maybe...

  16. Pedrosa.. A rider who in my opinion flatters to deceive / has had his fair share of bad luck & breaks too easily.. His time is up... Shame really as now he's shed that wank Alberto he's finally coming out of his shell.

  17. JL was a fairly despicable character during his initial years in the MotoGP class. Never as bad as Stoner in terms of sheer dislike, but I never warmed to JL's air of arrogance and how Lorenzo's Land and associated post-race celebrations were a simply cash-in on what Rossi had been doing for years.

As he has matured and toned down the theatrics, I've warmed to his character as a rider. He is very methodical and precise in what he does.

This year's situation is quite strange. Lorenzo has swung between anger, disillusionment and now this seemingly feigned 'acceptance' of his plight with the Yamaha and this year's tyres. The smiling and optimism seen in interviews over the past two races have been very strange to see given what is going on.

I reckon Bradl or Bautista's bike has Lorenzo's name on it. A young hotshot like an Espargaro to get Pedrosa's bike. Pedrosa to a satellite Honda. Not sure who will take Lorenzo's place in factory Yamaha.

  19. Ill give u that mate , I think Marco's death and the reaction too it played a huge part on a shift change with Stoner, that and when he really smashed his Ankle at Indy. I just feel that he had more pace, had his head have been in it

  20. I'm a big Lorenzo fan who really wants the guy to do well.. But could it be that MM is almost TOO special to catch?... Do you all not get the feeling that he'd do just as well on the M1?... Look at what the kid has achieved already... It feels weak calling him an alien.. Its almost fucking supernatural

  21. Lorenzo's problem is he doesn't know how to react. He's spent his entire life being groomed for this motogp thing, and he knows he had to make a monumental effort last season just to stay in the hunt, pushing harder than he's ever had to push before. But now he's deflated, and he has no other life experiences to compare his feelings with. He doesn't know how to react.

Add to that a somewhat rejuvenated Rossi, and Jorge's got double trouble. But give him a couple of races to get over the wobbles and get his head straight, and he'll be back to his best.

Not that it'll help. With zero mid-season development for factory bikes, he's as stuffed as Dani, Vale and the rest. Marquez is gonna romp it no matter what, cos no-one can legally do anything to their bikes to counter him.

  22. I dont think you can rag the M1 like you can the Honda. The honda is point and squirter. The M1 looks to me like it rewards smoothness.
