Now I know this isn't unique to me so I was curious if anyone has experienced this on their Panigale. On my 2013 1199S, starting only this year for the first time, my brake and clutch have lost pressure randomly if left unridden for a week or more. Easily rectified is to bleed them at the handlebars but this seems to reoccur. There are no leaks. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a permanent solution. Honestly I don't believe its air in the system although that would be the obvious diagnosis. I've read others have experienced this after long warm rides with the clutch but this isn't the scenario in my case. Strange it started happening with the clutch and Brake. My first experience was the clutch after winter hibernation. The bike gets used once or twice a week right now.
When did you last replace the fluid ? And if recently did you / your dealer use the same fluid in the clutch and brake side ?
I did have my mechanic do a full fluid change about a year ago, interesting what are your thoughts? He is a top notch Ducati mechanic here in Canada you thinking he used the wrong product? Honestly I couldn’t answer if he used the same fluid or not. I normally do this kind of thing myself but didn’t have the time.
Possibly water in the fluid? Stick a zip tie on the front brake overnight and see if there are any leak on the system. If there’s nothing obvious, I would flush out the old fluid with new fluid and go from there.
