Hi. Does anyone know where I can locate the battery cover for my 1100s? The original is somewhere on the m62 between Burtonwood Services and Liverpool. I didn’t notice it had gone until I got to the ferry. Do not mind colour, anything is better than the gaffer tape. I get the idea I’m not the first it’s happened to, the catch was always iffy so I fitted a plug to charge the battery.
Thought so, lots of every other panel on eBay. I cannot believe the condition of some that people were wanting big money for. Mind you the part I lost was probably mashed into the m62 before I noticed it had gone. If I had I’d have probably tried to stupidly try to retrieve it in the heat of the moment.
I know it sounds like a silly question but have you checked Ducati? When I needed a top cowl for a 748 project I was getting all kinds of crazy prices for used parts (£300+) but a new one was under £400 from my local dealer. Might be worth an ask!
