998 Lower Panels Inner Insulation

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by Nick_996, Apr 13, 2024.

  1. Are there any potential replacements for the (discontinued) part numbers 48610581A (marked as 23 below) and 48610571A (marked as 22 below), same referring to sound proofing foam pads placed in the inner side of the lower panels/fairings of the 998? What are you guys using instead? Can't seem to find any on fleebay either.

  2. Most people just bin them in my experience. They are just a bit of sound proofing.

  3. @Expat Jack sure thing; yet trying to keep her period correct (in as much as possible, including the dumb details). After twenty odd years, my factory ones have been deduced to empty sheets of cloth

  4. Would anyone know of a source that could perhaps reproduce them to a good standard?

I could actually provide myself a blueprint of the originals (or what's left of them anyway).
