I have been keeping an eye for some Termignoni's near me without much luck but I have found some for sale apparently off an M400. Would these be a viable option for me? From all my searching I get the vague impression that they would fit and from the pic they don't seem any smaller than other 900 cans. I can't see Termignoni making cans specifically for the 400, what are the odds these are 900 items? The seller doesn't know either.
The header pipes are different on the 900 vs. the 750/600/400 due to the longer cylinders etc. but AFAIK the cans are the same. Why would Ducati have made them any different?, especially at a time when they weren't particularly flush with cash and that the smaller engined models were (presumably) made to a tight budget, meaning extra R&D would be out of the equation, as they were essentially the same bike but sold for less so use existing parts where possible and even more so with aftermarket parts, I would think. Plus, the cans in the picture look great to me.
