Hi All, Discovered that I need some different M6 rivet nuts to the ones I have in my set at home. I took a RoadRacing tail tidy apart as part of my M900 build and now need to rivet (nut) it all back together. Trouble is the rivet nuts I have only have a grab range that goes up to approx 4mm and I need those with the longer 6mm range (much less common). RS Components sell them but in packs of 100 and I need 2!! Do you have any that you could spare? Cheers, Ben
You need an 18.0mm (plus) grip length. Does it have to be a Rivnut? A Wellnut or Jacknut may give you more flexibility. Local nut and bolt company need a visit.
No. I need to clamp approx 6mm of material together unless you're referring to the overall length of the nut itself?

They work with a std tool But you need the long ones 300/400mm handle length Large amount of pressure required to deform them If you've got the right tool Pm your address and I'll send you a dozen
