Can someone please recommend a company / person that can flash my M796 ECU? I'm currently running the stock ECU with a Bazzaz Z-Fi and Bazzaz Z-AFM but from what I can gather, the stock ECU "learns"? Seems like the ECU resets itself every now and then, which makes the bike run a bit rough with the Bazzaz map. So, I'm guessing a different flash will put something fixed on there which I can then tweak with the Bazzaz unit ... I also need to remove the exhaust valve motor, maybe bump the rev limiter a smidge etc Main mods are MWR filter, MWR power-up kit and SC Project exhausts with 696 mid section. Any advice is of course appreciated!
Rexxer map and sell the Bazzazz kit. Rexxer map will be specific to your bike and they can reset the exhaust valve fault. That is what I would probably go with. What is your general location?
Yeah I was planning on removing the ECU myself and sending it off to get flashed rather than having it done on a rolling road ... then any small tweaks I can make with the bazzaz
I had my Monster 796 ECU flashed by Nelly at Cornerspeed via a postal service. Very good and very quick. Although not a perfect solution (as no dyno) it was much better than standard. I had the MWR power up kit/filter and SC exhausts also. Might be worth considering the 14t front sprocket also.
It was the first thing I did when I got the bike. I'm about to go to a bigger cog on the rear as well with a 520 chain conversion. I'll give Cornerspeed a shout, thanks.
CJS all the way....no extra boxes - just make sure you have your exhaust and airbox set up the way you want otherwise it has to (to be right) go back on the dyno.
Had my 1100 evo done by Neil at Cornerspeed, top man and his postsl service is very quick, give him a ring.
