M900 1997 vin 006732(centre stem) 65540011A part number supplied I ordered choke cable off Ducati via vin but it is about 60cm too short , no way will it reach Does anyone know the correct part number, I can only see two, cable via center stem or mounted to the handle bars
No , was always via the center stem OE Dealer sent me 65540011A , also goes via the stem but is alot shorter , both 65540021A or 65540011A are listed for the bike I think the OE Dealer taught 65540021A was the handle bar choke (Clamps to the handle bars) but appears it is also for the center stem but longer
You need the 65540021A by the looks of things. That lists for VIN numbers 004463 to 9914. The '11A part number is for bikes up to 4462. The VIN actually lists as a 1995 model btw.
Most likely, but worth knowing for future parts orders. The Ducati parts system doesn’t pull it up from VIN number due to age. You need to delve into the parts info and notes. Some model years have several options on part numbers and only by looking into that info, can the correct one be found.
