The 796 is my first naked bike and I'm just wondering how others maintain theirs (cosmetically)? I don't particularly want to use my power hose or even use water round it. I've been using baby wipes (!) so far to keep things looking like new. The bike doesn't get much wet use. Any tips?
The wheels pick up the most dirt.... I tend to use wd40 to clean most of it... (i buy a big 5 litre tub). Every month or so ill give the calipers, engine, drive train, exhaust a good going over with neat sdoc100 which keeps the alloy looking bright. I've bought a tin of wd40 bodywork spray which is really good also. Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Yep - WD40 for the basic stuff sdoc for the ingrained brake dust and stuff covered in oil. Try some of that WD40 bodywork spray...my personal opinion is once you've gone over the bodywork with that its "brighter" than just using plain old WD40...smells nice too...
