Making Changes To Sell My 750ss

  1. Hi all,

I am selling my lovely 750ss and even though it has had lots of views on ebay and on the classified section here, I have not had any serious queries.
Personally, I think it is well priced.

Do you think that by fitting the headlight and nose cone will help? I am not sure I'll get away with cutting out the headlight hole, so it means getting a use nose cone, painting and fitting. All in all, I reckon it'll cost me around £300.

    What do you think?

  2. I like it, cause its got some nice upgrades, mines far from standard too. However, the lack of a light may indeed put folk off. I think the price is decent, especially with the mods you have done, however as it isn't standard you are waiting for the right buyer that appreciates what you have done. Many only want a standard bike.

I am well aware, that the money I have put into mine, I will struggle to see back

I do have a headlight surround in the loft....

  3. I really like this and the price looks amazing frankly, I just don't have the funding / space / divorce-credits right now or I would snap this off you. I think it would be an amazing weekend tool

  6. i agree that its very well presented - and modified in a way that appeals ... to me.

were it mine, then in spring and autumn, it would get ridden during dawn, dusk and likely after dark. especially as the sun comes up. my first mod, would be sourcing a fairing with headlight, and having greta paint to match what you have done.

i suspect that 'daylight mot' put off many. some years back, i know it would have put me off. sadly those put off, will include people who may choose to ride only in ideal conditions. many buyers also appear to be increasingly interested in standard, mint - if not that word from another age 'concours'. each to their own. variety and diversity is the spice of life.

having recently purchased a ss, i'm not in the market for another - at present ..... a monster to compliment it, absolutely ... especially one modified to reflect its owners preferences, at a price allowing for further recommissioning and refining of the concept ... with the focus (in first instance) more on suspension, than engine. 'spoilt'/eyes opened by a firestorm with maxton suspension, set up for my weight and use on the road.

a pity you need to sell it. hopefully a person who appreciates what it is, will soon buy it. its the right time of year. may it sell in time to contribute a reasonable sum to the car.

  7. Whilst it has some nice stuff on it, the lack of lights and the colour are a turn off. I showed this to a friend who is in the market but he wouldn't consider it as is.
