1200 Map Sensor Issues

  1. Hi all.

I have MTS 1200S 2013MY running rough when warm. I've downloaded Melcodiag and obtained the licence. I purchased 2 new MAP sensors and have tried them on the horizontal cylinder. With the bike running on tick over, nothing at all happens when I disconnect the sensor and pipe, and I've tried that with the old one and the 2 new ones. In Melcodiag, the reading is zero on both cylinders and doesn't change when the revs are raised (not sure how to use Melcodiag software if I'm completely honest). Someone did a youtube video which showed how the revs changed when they unplugged the MAP sensor on one cylinder, but not the other. They said that the one that did nothing was the faulty one, but i've tried 2 new sensors and the old? I've not tried the other MAP sensor as logic tells me to check with software before stripping everything off the bike. I posted earlier about the exhaust valve eliminator but I don't know how to tell if it is working or not.
Does anyone have any use instructions for Melcodiag and know anything about MAP sensors? I realise it could be a Lambda sensor issue but most people say its more likely to be a MAP sensor. If it is a Lambda sensor, how would Melcodiag tell me that?
