Mapmyride?

  1. anyone used this app to, well, map your ride!

  2. On my push bike, but never on my Multi. Works a treat at push bike speeds :)

  3. Not used Mapmyride so can't comment but do use CheckMyTour which works a treat on the bike and also on boat trips. As well as mapping your route it gives information such as max speed, average speed, distance traveled and max and min altitude. Best part is, its free.

  4. Be very careful with sharing mapped rides on line and in the "community". There have been cases of "ner do wells" using the information to target home addresses of bike owners.

Personally don't us these apps, however I do use Endemondo when I ride my pushbike, mainly because that reinforces what a fat twat I am. Starting the GPS well away from home BTW.

  5. I use Trails, which records your GPS data and emails it to you for downloading to PC. From there you can view in Google Earth, load into routeconverter to be converted into a route for SatNav, etc, etc.

  6. Strava blanks out the area around your home address as a security feature.

I use it for cycling, but not tried it on a bike.

  7. I use Endomondo on the bike with pedals. I tried it whilst out on the bike with an engine and it clocked me at 1600mph down a certain bypass!!

  8. I use EveryTrail Pro when I'm greenlaning but that's mainly so I can prove exactly where I've been if plod stop me and accuse me of riding on a bridleway. It also shows my speed so when an irate rambliar starts shouting at me I can show them exactly what speed I was doing unless I was going like fuck in which case i won't

  9. I've used one called MotoTracker - which I think is great :upyeah:

  10. Why would you want to map your ride? Can't you remember where you've been?

  11. I prefer to never go to the same place twice. Europe's a huge place, far too big to bother retracing your steps.
