Marc Vds And Lowes Heading To Wsbk!

  1. Been announced that they are taking a team there to support Lowes on a V4R. Now that may be interesting!

  2. Yeah I think this will be really really interesting!

  3. End of his career IMO. I wonder who he’s making room for in Moto2. Andy

  4. I read it that the team is taking him to WSBK. So moving out of moto2, I don’t think it’s the end of his career, 1 more year like he’s had in moto2 and he’s done anyway

  5. Unless Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda step up and bring a competitive bike to the party, WSBK is going to end up being a Tri Options cup. It does make me smile though, when teams and riders wax lyrical about how the Panigale V4R is the bike to have, when Alvaro is the only rider in the last 3 1/2 seasons to make it perform consistently on the world stage. also we have seen through the years that the Ducati isn’t a bike that crap teams can have success with, remember DFX and various other teams turning up without enough budget and by halfway through the Season there’s rods flying around everywhere except where they are meant to be and wheels falling off (remember Maxine Berger).

  7. A more cynical person would think Ducati spend all the time and money on alvaros and less on the others to avoid getting revs reduced etc.

  8. I think it’s taken from the top 2 bikes in tne manufacturer and petruci and axelrod have been scoring good points still. Plus I think a win is much more ‘points’ towards the Rev cap

  9. The last rev limit leveler imposed by FIM was applied to all Ducati teams regardless of their actual performance which has been roundly criticised. I’m pretty sure the next rev limit change is imminent and will be applied across the board …… again. It’s bloody obvious it’s the rider and not just the bike. The consistent bullsh*t from commentators about horsepower difference gets right up my nose. It’s about so much more than just raw horsepower. How long before the other manufacturers brow beat FIM into imposing minimum weight limits ? Danilo is big for a rider and he appears to be finally getting his head around the bike but he’s not on the same page (yet ?) Andy

  10. Redding for team-mate?

According to him, announcement due Sunday. He mentions ‘where I’m going’ in a teaser, so doesn’t sound like he’s partnering Toprak in ‘24?

  11. the BMW apparently has 280hp and clearly that’s a POS so I think the power thing is rubbish. Although did you see how slow the McAms R1 was at snetterton, the front straight isn’t really that long and he was getting murdered!

Interestingly on tbe rev things, with Scott Smart leaving there is more and more noise that apparently a lot of stuff isn’t being applied and policed correctly, like some of the performance in Supersport, as it’s complicated and he was the brains of it.

  12. I simply do not trust Ducati. But to be fair, the same can be said against other manuf. However, Ducati, imo would be my guess as the most untrustable of them.

  13. Just heard, Ducati docked another 250rpm and the whinging tosser, sorry, Kawasaki have 250rpm more. Andy

  14. Are you saying that you believe Ducati are cheating? Based on what?

  15. I don’t see how 500rpm will help the Kwacker’s. Tyre wear seems to be their main issue, which means they have no pace in the last third of the race, some extra ponies won’t solve that

  16. Way to extrapolate from what I said. I said I dont trust them. Thats what I said. You said the rest.

  17. So, Don’t trust them to do what?

  18. Just like MotoGP ;)
