Matte Paint

  1. Our M750 is Matte Black, I would like to protect the finish but I can't use "normal" polish, what are the options, can you get matte paint polish?

    A little goes a long way.
    Been using swissol since it was called that.
    Some legal crud made them change name to sswissvax.

  7. I used a spray polish on my (new 05) matt black aprillia which left it looking like it had just come out of the shop as new, It was supplied from Bikers world in East Grinstead (Aprillia Dealer) 01342 325955 give them a call.:smile:

  11. On a car forum somebody has suggested Auto glym fast glass, I've got some but not been brave enough to try it on my matte black 848 yet, after a year of ownership it could do with something more than the plain water I've been using.

  13. I've used Motorex Protect and Shine 645 on my semi-matte grey ST4s from new - it does leave a slight sheen (pretty much as per the factory finish) and it's a great and very quick way of cleaning the bike. Possibly not such a good idea on the complete matte Dark finishes though.

  14. Try Chemical guys, I buy my Matt shampoo and detailer spray from them but it ain't cheap but good stuff

  15. Yeah, Chemical Guys seems to be good. Not cheap, but cleans and protects with regular use. I bought the Meticulous 'Matte Detailer' from them. It's all I use on my matte black fairings...

  16. Top-Kote finishing spray. Wipe with microfiber cloth.
