1200 DVT May I Borrow Your Seat?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Himself, Dec 18, 2022.

  1. My search for a Touractech seat for a 2015 VT 1200 is getting me nowhere, so I thought I'd try something different.

I'm based in Newark n Nottinghamshire, and there is a rather good seat builder nearby. Does anyone have a Tourtech seat I might borrow for him to copy?

    Thanks - Himself.

  2. The shape isn’t much difference , in order to copy it he’d have to make a mould to make the foam.
Sliced or cut foam has no skin so performs completely different due to the density of moulded foam, so I don’t believe you could replace it.
Personally I think you should ask some for the profile of their seat that has had some success with modification or take a guess .
Besides the touratech seat isn’t all that in my opinion.

  3. Sorry I’d have to disagree. It’s way better than the standard seat as it’s lower at the back with a dished shape and stops you sliding forward into the tank.

  4. Comfort is subjective so it’s your prerogative.
I took a profile off my seat and it was almost identical to standard.
Maybe it was just the seat I had

  5. The lack of pressure on my nuts with Touratech one was not subjective for me…

    … it was a massive relief! o_O
