Just watching MGP FP, and they were talking about the Petronas announcement. They want to do in bikes what they have done with Mercedes in F1. And the Yamaha will be full factory bikes at the start of the year. Apparently, in the pub, Huwen was chatting to Herve who was spitting feathers as they never had that after 20yrs of relationship. I really think the Cal thing and HRC having more direct contract riders, will full fat bikes, so they take what they want, manufacturers title, is finall;y hitting home. I also read last week that, for the first time, Yamaha* are having a European test team rather than just Ja[aneses one. It’s what Ducati, Honda etc have done for years. *Possible I have that the wrong way round, Honda not Yamaha, but I’ve slept since then.
