Got the melcodiag installed on a laptop but now I need a licence?? I think I've asked for a licence but it's not very clear on the software, has anyone any knowledge of how this works/ how long it takes? Does it come as an email? Next question is if I get a licence then how do I input it into the actual software? I'm running it on a laptop that's not connected to the internet and loading the melcodiag from a flash drive. Bloody hard work so far On the plus side I have got the port identified and the laptop to connect to the bike. I just can't enter the port number without a licence.
I didn't think that Melcodiag would work on any Ducati Multistrada after the earlier 2010-2014 models? It certainly does not work on 1200 DVT's. I bought an OBDstar i-scan to do mine. (2015 1200) From here https://www.bmdiag.co.uk/search/for/obdstar/
Follow the instructions here and your application will be sent to the author. Once you receive the licence attachment in the reply, copy the attached file into the software folder on your computer. https://jpdiag.xooit.eu/t4699-MelcoDiag.htm
Make sure that the software picks up your ECU correctly. I selected 2011 for my old Multi, which didn’t collect the VIN etc., until I selected the next year, 2012. If it doesn’t collect the VIN correctly, your licence application won’t work.
