I have a Metzeler tyre that came with a spare wheel but I don't know which compound it is. It just has Metzeler Interact and the size/speed info but I cant see if it says the compound anywhere. Is there any way of telling or am I missing something and being thick?
So my K3s have a little yellow/gold label on one side of the tyre that says K3. I can find no other identifyer that would give me a clue. However, if it's a 180/60 it can only be either a K0 (75V) or the K1/K2 (75W), it cannot be a K3. If it is a 190/50 or 200/55 it can only be a K3. Unfortunately Metzler made the 120/70, 180/55 and 190/55 in K1, k2 and K3 compounds. They even share the same bloody tread pattern. That I am afraid is the limit of my knowledge. Andy
Ok I've just been out to have another look and I was being thick I'm afraid. On closer inspection (and with some cleaning in my defence) there's a very small label on it saying k1. Id completely missed it! Sorry Andy and thanks again for looking. Much appreciated
