Metzler M7rr

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by DoctorW, Oct 13, 2015.

  1. Hi. Just had these fitted as part of bike's service. Anyone had these and got opinion on 'em and also comment on how quickly or otherwise they scrub in?
    Cheers,
    Andrew.

  2. I love em on my 1098 SF. Grippy, lots of feel and very quick to warm.
Don't quote me but I believe I've read in the biking press somewhere that Metzeler's manufacturing process for these tyres doesn't require a release agent so they scrub in very quickly. They do seem very grippy from the off.

  3. Got 'em on my 1200 Multistrada but then I am a Metzler fan. Run their tyres on my track bike as well. Andy

  4. I may have a pair of these going for a reduced price, if interested fire me a pm.

They genuinely have just 70 miles on them and I had them removed from the bike before sale last week

The intention was to keep them for the next bike but that's not likely going to happen until new year, I may as well clear the garage space and start a fresh when I do.

  7. I'm having a set fitted to my 1199 as part of its service too, so I'm hoping they're decent. Everything I've read would point to them being perfect for the type of riding I do, I'll never make the most out of Supercorsa's.

  8. Had a pair put on my Speed Triple recently. Feel very stable on the road with plenty of grip. Not as fast steering as a full sports tyre like the Super Corsa as you'd expect but progressive. I did a track day on them and they were good although definitely more effort needed to chuck the bike about and get it on its ear. Nice and stable at lean and good grip out of the corner.

Stable, progressive, grippy. What's not to like unless you need a full sports tyre.

Scrub in like any other tyre......dont go mad till the surface is dull basically

  9. Nice. Andy

  10. Yep. Decent lean on them too. Much more confidence inspiring than the 2CTs I had on before.
