i may have the opportunity of one at a good price. Anybody seen one up close or actually ridden one? Do the looks work in the flesh? Is it just a collectors piece of 'art' to be looked at or something that you can actually get use out of?
I loved it and nearly ordered one when they released it. The single seat stopped me as Im 2 up alot. Glad I didnt as the tank is only good for 75 miles. Id be on 1st name terms with every petrol stn in my town by now. Also the suspension is cheap for a ltd ed. Non adjustable showas and sachs rear shock. There was a tank coversion from usa that increased capacity to acceptable . Look fkn gorgeous tho. Have a go on it I read the handling is a bit suspect.
If I could afford one it would be my summer show off tool no question about it. In fact my favorite 2 Ducatis for a road bike are the MH or an 1100 hyper. I doubt you'd regret ownership for 1 second.
It shouldn't work but it does , some bits taken on their own just don't seem right but put together it is so cool. And you could instantly post it up in the Iconic Things I own section no probs.
I have only seen one in the flesh at the Silverstone Ducati weekend a few years ago. There is definitely 'something' about them which really appeals. But why oh why did they fit those revolting grey plastic belt covers? Something Rizoma-ish would have looked so much better. The standard grey plastic covers remind me of early NHS prosthetics in that equally horrible pinky/fleshy colour. Yuk!
