If its MHR then with the curved panel over the shock its going to be Mk1, ie it would go with the fibre glass tank cover so the first 200. always hard to say with reps as they are not usually exact copies.

I think that they were pretty much the same until the frame changed, at least. This '85 Mille looks the same to me...

Note that the seats on later bikes with side panels have a lip into which the side panel fits. The 79 through early 81s did not have the lip or the lugs on the frame to attach panels. Mike's bike did not have side panels. My 81 followed by an 83:
MHRat: the unpainted seat you pictured earlier looks a lot like the one on my early 81. The Mk1, Mk2 thing is confusing as there were some subtle differences in between the early years. A better pic:
