Yep, KTM and Yamaha have.....just as they have used the BSD38s on the Ess-esses..... As far as I am aware they should be OK with the right jets and needles, but check them side by side for fit when sitting on the manifolds, because I think they may have extra sticky out bits. And.....IIRC although I'm not sure, there are two versions, one with the CV top and the other with, well, wot's it called, umm...well the taller aluminium top cover. Main jets would need to be larger than the standard Ess-ess ones, though......and I suspect they will be just the same as the BSDs, with the float level partly governing the pilot circuit. AL
Al, Do you know of a company who sell twin pull throttle cables etc for the carbs or a 2-1 splitter type cable if the carbs were mounted on short manifolds. ? Thanks in advance.
I have a 'Motion-pro' twin push-pull throttle cable/twistgrip for the split FCR carbs on my Monster. Try Motion Pro direct; Motion Pro or BR Special tuning here in the UK; Motorcycle Exhausts | Performance Parts | BR Special Tuning
Give me until Sunday and I'll find you one.....Oh, it is Sunday....well wait a bit then......You want one for an 80s Guzzi LeMans.....two cables, individual adjusting. AL
Steve, It appears I misread your post and was looking for a twin pull twistgrip.....(well it was late and I was kn-akkered) however, I don't have one anymore and neither does my mate, having rummaged through his pile of spares this morning. I'll keep searching because I prefer a twin pull twistgrip to split cables....I find the twin pull far simpler to adjust to get the balance right.... Here we go..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Doherty-S...74?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item337e1ba97e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-GUZZ...17?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item27cef8f581 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-GUZZ...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337f920e9c http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tommasell...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5899ee1911 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/75-MOTO-G...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56445c952f First one appears to be the obvious choice, but the proper guzzi ones have a nice guide for the cables.....the one I thought I had was like the second one.
