Looking to lose the mirrors and use bar end ones.. Don't want to fill the holes in fairing in case I change my mind. Been looking in vain on the web and found a few sites that do blanks for 1098 but nothing for 748.... Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Cheers
Yes there is one German site that advertises them on eBay, I haven't seen them for sale lately but they might be on the German ebay site but they are asking £40\50 for a set, which is pretty dear I think. They are billet aluminium and it's a Buy it now price so no real chance of getting them cheaper.

I think many regard them as too expensive and also all three holes seem to be closed, so I guess they bolt up inside the faring. I did bookmark them some time ago out of interest but maybe there just hasn't been enough interest in them and they have discontinued them. They are the only ones I have ever seen. It might have been Motorize GMBH that was selling them.
