Hi the mirrors, have two pegs that push into the fairing, but is there also a bolt? Allen bolt that holds them on underneath the rubber bungs?
These are the 'sacrificial' bolts designed to shear easily to minimise damage to the top fairing mount.
I used these, quite a bit less expensive, strong enough to do the same job. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191572286824
Thanks lads, the issue at the minute is tgere is a piece of thd mirror mount still screwd in and the allen key wont undo it must be bent, try snap it off maybe?
If it is the bolt then they are made of chocolate and round off. Try driving an oversized torx into it. When you refit make sure you copperslip them and do not over tighten.
Pretty sure th bolts bent so the only wy is to try to break it off, dropped the bike mirror snapped off but a piece of the black mirror mount is still there, boltds not moving
IChris ordered a flexible drill extension today hoping I can drill the head off or a hole for a stud extractor Fuggin stroke no strength in my left hand to hold the bike when it over balanced, should have got my lad to help bloody pig headed won't do that again
