I noticed a squeaking noise when riding over the last few weeks, but I can’t pin it down. However, I know it’s the bike, not my knees And it’s been ages since I last took a mouse as a pillion. So, I’m flummoxed. Where would you start with pinning down the source of the squeak?
is it a bit like a mouse or could it be more like a pig squeak? When was the last time you looked in the bike's toolkit? I had a mouse live (or hibernate) in my Elefant airbox once, was perfect for him/her, even had an entrance and an exit tube. Seriously, does it coincide with suspension compressing? - can you say if it's front or back even?
@Chris In my zoological opinion, it’s more of a mouse squeak than a pig squeal. Toolkit? I know Ducati is renowned for its underseat storage generosity, but I couldn’t fit a slice of Italian cheese under the Xdiavel seat. I do have some hex keys and my trusty cable tie in the tank bag. However, I rarely keep a mouse (or a pig, for that matter) in the tank bag. I don’t think the squeak coincides with the suspension compressing. However, I’ll have to take advantage of the good weather we’ve been having lately for squeak testing opportunities.
