Went to dartmouth to see the end of the tour of Britain race. Needed fuel afterwards. Went into a garage with about 60 Police bikes Swarming there and filling up. Plus now one lonesome red Ducati. A couple just stared so I had my pillion stand very close to the number plate etc. But in retrospect she should have taken a pic. From off the forecourt etc. But I did tail end Charlie them a good while after to check out their riding. So so wanted to overtake. :biggrin:
Impressive to watch. I was near Woking when they came past my local pub, and it was obvious some of the cops were enjoying the ride.
I should have blasted past hollering“ you'll never take me alive". Then it would have turned into one of those comedy american police chases. :-D oh no sorry I meant one of those American police chases. !
Thinking on, some of the cops were riding very irresponsibly. The pub's on a blind bend in a 30 limit, you can take the bend safely at 60 (I'm told...), but usually there aren't hundreds of people lining the street. A couple of the cops I could hear backing down the gears like they were on a trackday. All good fun, obviously, but if I'd done it I'd have lost my license. Again.
