Hi All, I had a problem with my 996 missing up and it really lets the bike down. I have read a few solutions to solve this on this forum. I Took mine apart and then brushed nail polish remover on the inside of the lens (with a long paint brush) This removed all of the misty film. I then used another brush with glass polish on it to shine it up (wiping it constantly on a clean cloth after each stroke). I sealed the back plate that covers the dip beam reflector lens thing with clear silicone over the rubber seal when I put it back together. It worked a treat and the headlight looks like new. Might be worth a try if any of you have the same problem.
