Hi All I am thinking of fitting a MIVV silencer to my 796 , anyone tried this out? Verdict? Do you need to re map the injection or does it go straight on? Cheers Dave (Sheffield UK)
not see the 796 stuff but i had a set of mivv x-cones on an older monster s2r1000 and they were well made, good value and looked great. they sounded utterly outrageous too from a power/performance point of view they may not be so good though. my friends identical monster had arrows pipes (Both Bikes had open airboxes, performance filters and decat mid pipes) and after dynoing both bikes on the same day 2yrs ago, his came out 6RWBHP (94 vs 88) and about 4% more tourqe than mine. the engineer at the company that tuned the bikes said and i quote 'we’ve never seen a Mivv system make any gains or work well in any shape or form' bear in mind that this may not be the case for the exhausts for the newer bikes as i know lots of multi riders like their mivv systems
