I’m in the market to get a big nostalgia fix (read mid life crisis??) I’ve had 4 mk1 gti’s and 2 mk2’s over the years and love both marques and now I want another one but am in two minds which marque I love more! Mk1 would preferably be the 1.6 5 speed or failing that a campaign model. Mk2 would be big bumper 16v. what say you O wise and wonderful forum members? Help me make up my mind!
has to be Mk one for me, metallic green probably, and I didn't like the early dog leg five speed gear change action although an improvement on ratios from the four speed.
I had that edition in that colour kept it 4 years have great memories of it, sold on and bought a Irmischer body kitted Astra GTE in Silver.

To answer your mid life crisis/time running out question. Mark 1 totally original version, I like some of the modded ones but some are just plain ridiculous to me.

nice but wrong colour for me anyway, black* was the worst on a golf. *P.S.- at least the colour helped disguise the nerfed rear bumper.
Time running out!! Jeez, cheered my Sunday right up that I do like some of the modded ones too but anything I get must be original, just how I roll, for the time being at least!
