Finally arrived far too narrow at the front without removing the tank first! Possibly too narrow for the Brkts as well, few chips in the gel, but v light ( may have to reinforce it). £109 from disco volante.
It it doesn't fit properly and the genuine sl seat pads don't fit it then I will return it. Don't mind paying for stuff and having to alter it slightly but we will se
Aint going to happen, just measured it, the mounting points are 2 inches too narrow all along the seat, the seat base is also 2 inches too narrow to fit the Genuine SL seat pads, spoken to disco volante they are happy to have it back, but at my postal costs, so I am £40 out having been told it is a SL seat unit.
Personally, I'd buy some fibreglass and resin pronto, and make a mould of the seat unit before I sent it back = honestly, it's a piece of piss - then you can make and modify to suit yourself.
The mounting points on the 900ss are 23.5cm at the front and 32 cm at the rear, anyone know if the superlight brackets are narrower? Genuine seats long time discontinued, spoken to Moto Rapido on Simons advice, v helpful, and told me to search for a guy called simon on the forum who is their SL guru .
For painting probably going to use KAS race paint done a couple of 350 lc's I have built. Not going to bother with this seat far too narrow
The genuine seat units were 777 euro when they finally finished production. Now, you might want to give these lovely people a call... Branacato Engineering 01865 891203 He used to have grp SL seat units and could make them with a carbon infill panel. I once wanted to use his moulds to make a carbon set of bodywork but he was having none of it, I even offered to pay him for a set of bodywork to boot! He runs courses on basic mantainance as well. Good Chap, hopefully he's still in business
The back end on that seat doesn't look right, it looks too rounded off ? The standard one is a lot squarer in profile, I'd send it back...
Brancato stiff is excellent, fits exactly and survives a crash really well. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Did you buy thru ebay? If so I'd raise a complaint, dont know if distance selling rules apply, and if it costs £40 to post seems a lot
use parcels2go or My hermes, you'll get that sent for around 15 quid. It's under 10 kg and the volumetric on the box can't be that big.
Isn't packaging and dispatch costs covered under the distance selling regulations? I thought you were legally able to claim a full refund of the cost (including original p&p) plus return p&p if a product was not fit for purpose or as described?
Feck me they have gone right up in price, looks good though. My last 2 rd350lcs, one white, one metallic blue cost me £350 each, for tank, side panels, tail piece, front mudguards. I know that the 900 has a fairing
