  1. Can anyone recommend a good generator for a set of tyre warmers (or two).

    Regards

  2. You only get what you pay for so you need to spend as much as you can afford. I run an unbranded Honda clone that delivers 3kw which runs the tyre warmers and a kettle. Still cost me a couple of hundred quid from Costco as a rip off clone but has so far been reliable. Andy

  4. Honda suitcase type, prices are eye watering but you do get what you pay for (reminds me mine wants servicing) 2KW will do two sets of warmers

  5. I have a Honda EU20i, runs like a dream and quiet, will be more than enough for 2 sets of tyre warmers. I have a small 900w kettle for making brews, a normal domestic 2500w kettle is too big.

  6. Got a honda eu30i myself; works a treat for everything including computer equipment & home AV kit. Pure sine wave genie & does variable power outputs due to the load requested.

  7. Suitcase one if budget allows. Far quieter and easier to transport:)

  8. Hey mate
You want about 1000w or 1KVA for a pair of tyre warmers, and check that it's a constant power, not a peak power figure.
I have a cheapish one that cost around £300 from MachineMart, which works well for two sets of warmers
That was bought 'for work' too ;)

  9. Kipor brand well worth looking into, lots on eBay
We had one for our caravan for two years, ran faultless.

  10. I use two SDMOs for work, one 8.5kw and the other 3kw.

I'd recommend them too. Although I had an old Honda that could lie for a year with old petrol and start 1st kick.
