Mod to enable low beam to stay on with high beam

  1. Anyone know how to do it? I remember reading it's possible, I was on the M20 the other day heading to the channel tunnel and the fog was beyond thick. It came to light that the low beam is killed when the high beam is on.

  2. High beam and fog doesn't work, you need to use a low beam.

  3. I know, just thought I would check out the beam patterns. Plus, I imagine if I go for some HIDs I will want this mod.

  4. Isn't it on AndyW's blog/site?

  5. I was under the impression a low facing light was better in fog ? High lights tend to reflect back at you making it look worse ?

  6. The info on Andy's site isn't very clear about how the diode is connected. It needs to go between the yellow/grey wire of the high beam relay and the yellow/white of the dip beam relay with the end of the diode that has the white bar round it connected to the yellow/white wire. Get it the wrong way round and main beam will stay on all the time.

  7. Alternatively, if you dont have the skills to make one, send me a pm and I will send you a loom, as I provided the details on andyw's site:wink:
